I have a 8890 that was in 0 raid alignment { 2 - 40gb HD's}, windows stopped working, and boot screen said stripe alignment not functional. One of my HD's failed, so I switched the dipswitch on motherboard to non-raid, and removed the bad HD from the secondary bay.
The HD in the primary bay is good, but I'm not able to align the battery cover to seal flush, thus I've left it off. I reinstalled windows and the computer seems to be working fine with only the 1 HD, however, when I boot up, the screen shows the following:
D0 Toshiba {with model # of HD} LBA 38154MB Ultra DMA 5
D1 Not Detected
D2 Not Detected
D3 Not Detected
I would think one of these would be the secondary bay. The 3rd bay is taken up with my TV Tuner. Any advise on what this means? I'm told this may be a normal boot screen for a non-raid alignment. Is this normal? Any thoughts?
