I am a rather happy owner of HP nx9420 with T2400 and 2GB 667RAM. Anyway, I am experiencing strange problems when burning DVDs or optical discs.
I am using Nero or default Sonic. When the actual burning starts, the mouse gets bit stutter and seems like half second delayed and also if I play any mp3s or videos simulataneously with burning, the sound goes very distorted.
Opened the task manager and the highest percentage is taken by SYSTEM IDLE (up to 99%) and the others by explorer.exe and other not important services.
It bothers me a bit, because when burning a DVDs I can not do anything else on rahter high end notebook...
is anybody experiencing similar behaviour??? Also when burning process is on, the lef core works significantly higher than the right one.
The super pi calculation and all the tests go okay...so I am really lost here... oh and I have the HW acceleration for DirectX set to basic. And also all the drivers are up to date.
