I'm about to pull the trigger on an x60s that I can get through my school's educational contract. I didnt know what everyone else is paying but I was quoted $1400 (1500 after tax and shipping). It has the base 1.66ghz processor, 1GB ram, finger print scanner, 60gb 5400rpm hard drive, atheros wifi card, bluetooth, 8 cell battery, and 2 years accidental damage. How does this stack up with other deals you guys are getting?

Sorry, mate. please forgive me on this. i am not advertising for this guy.
You can actually buy from BillMorrow in thinkpad forum. I guessed his price will be better and you could have full confidence in seeing your laptop after you pay for the thing. I am not saying other vendors are scammers, NO. but i just feel more comfortable with Bill than the other vendors which i do not know.
