What reseller's do it for free? I've never seen the option on most resellers. Hypersonic has an almost identical policy to PC Torque (unless it has changed in the last couple of months) offering the same standard tic tac toe board policy (If you have one in the middle, we'll fix it, or several in the surrounding grid). Alienware doesn't offer it, even if they should give it free. Not sure about Voodoo or Widow.

Heck, you ask Toshiba or HP about it, get ready to be laughed at. I've seen very few places that offer a zero dead pixel policy, but if you could show me some I would appreciate it just for the knowledge of it.

Portable One will do it with their systems or Fujitsu's, for starters. You just have to ask.

The price needs to be halved (like Hypersonic), and then I'll look at Sager again. The current price is a rip-off, in my sincerest, most humble opinion...please don't take it the wrong way.

Think about it. They give the good screens to the people who pay for it. So us poor peons who don't flip for it will get their dead pixel screens because they have to unload them on someone.

Totally untrue.

My dad's laptop, (wuxga, 9750) has zero dead or stuck pixels, and he did not pay for the insurance.

I received mine with one dead pixel off to the side. Later a second one showed up at the very near top. Neither one is really noticeable though unless the screen is completely black.

Question though, if you send it in for a repair for dead pixels do they do anything to your hard drive? Would I lose any data, etc.?

i have a pixel since day one i turned on the laptop, and its not in the "Center" defined area as Sager puts it in their first post to this thread, i use a lot of dark backgrounds, and that pixel pisses me off as it is so bright, and brings all attention right to that dot.

" hey buddy, come over and check out my great computer - you might want to consider buying more from sager "

his response " why do you have that annoying dead pixel there? "

"because its not in the center and i can't get it replaced"

his repsonse " how much did you pay for this thing again??"

Agreed. Mine has a dead pixel but it's located a little bit top-left from the center screen and this doesn't qualify as part of the defined "center" area... How much does it cost to remove this annoying dead pixel?
