hey guys, i jsut used hirens boot cd and used the partition magic to look at my drives, i have three drives, the first one is my dell utility one, the second is my c:\, and the thirs is just a 14 mb of unallocated space!, what happened to my secret dell restore utility? i havn't touched ne of these drives b4, so yea? where is it

Right click My Computer and click Manage. From there choose Disk Management. How many partitions do you see there?

wtf, jsut two, the dell utility, and the c:/, how come my dell was not shipped with the dell restore partition?

no, i received all the cds, just that i did not get that dell restore aprtition that taeks up a couple gb. u know the one where u hit ctrl+f11, i think it is, i cannot see that aprtition, i only had 2

When you get the XP CD, you don't get the partition. At least that is my understanding of it.

I ordered my E1505 with the XP OS reinstallation disk and my machine still came with the 5GB restore partition. Of course maybe things have changed since last month. Or maybe they do it differently for Australia.

hmm oh well, i was going to delete that partition neways lol, no skin off my nose, jsut wodnmered why no aprtition was there
