I'm debating between the two, seeing the pluses with the lenovo mainly as the higher screen resolution vs what sounds like better battery life and build quality in the IBM. Lack of DVD drive doesn't worry me much, can live without it if need be. Although it is unclear to me whether x60 comes with an external dvd as part of the boxed set?
I'd kit both out with duo 1.8s and don't see benefits with the fingerprint reader.
My prime concern here is that the x60 might gain the better screen resolution in its next upgrade and that both lenovo and IBM will trump the current processors with duo2s that are less power hungry and gruntier.
And another issue is whether all the current models with first run core duo processors will drop in price as the core 2s arrive. Other question is how much better is the lenovo screen on the 12 inch?
