5672 video problem and weird noise

I just got my 5672 and when I download or stream a video file the colors are all messed up. But, games and DVDs have no problem. Also, there is a small periodic electronic screaching sound comming from the bottom left area of my notebook, it sounds every couple of seconds in intervals. This was not there the first couple of days and only started after some heavy usage, it is now always there. Anyone know how to fix it, it is annoying?

I have the video messing up on online video streams also. I've noticed if I download the video and play it from my desktop it plays fine, but streaming is like a 60's psychedelic scr saver I haven't found a fix for it yet.

Screeching on left side? Do you have a dvd in the drive? That's the only screeching I've ever heard on the left side.

For the video problem, I just downloaded the newest version of windows media player and things are fine. As for the noise, it is still there, kind of like a chirping of a cricket but a little faster.

thx calcutron. I unticked the rendering and went to cnn.com to check out a video and all is well. I appreciate it! I had given up on watching videos and even resorted to real player UGH! I hate that program. It never takes no for an answer, always getting in my face, no matter how many times I msconfig'd the sucker.
