Need some help !

Hi =)

I wanna buy a laptop but im not sure what to choose

Usage: internet (wireless...), 3D studio max, AutoCAD, Microsft. Word, mp3, dvds, etc...

-Whats the best laptop for this kind of work?
-Dual Core, Pentium M...??
-32 or 64 bits?

so many questions and still in doubt... PLEASE HEEELP ME!

(i don`t wanna spend more that 1200 USD budget kinda limited... )

just FYI, you'd probably want an Nvidia Quadro in your machine (that's the graphics card). The Quadro range is optimised for CAD and other work related programs. I'd imagine you'd need core duo for it's extra grunt but 64bit isn't really needed. 32 will be fine.

go for a refurbished dell latitude D820 (15.4") or D620 (14.1")

you can get them for $1k or so with a very nice nVidia Quadro, Core duo and a 3 year warranty.

There is a 15% off refurb latitutes coupon available too

Hi.

Thanks for the options!

I`ve tried DELL`s outlet store and i really got some great deals there but the sh**tty thing was that they only sell to USA not to other countries
Im kinda pissed off about that...why can`t they sell to europe?

'cause due to local arrangements, dell us will not sell direct to european customers :-) dell's germany can pretty much support europe and currently has some serious dumping price - u might want to check it out. if u r still hard up about having a dell us, best thing to do is asking a local friend to get it and ship it over, just be ready to add a few % extra to cover shipment and local custom/vat. cheers ...

i don't think that dell.de has outlet stores (physically if u mean). what it is, currently, dell.de is doing serious price cut on pretty much any laptop model. ex:

u can see that many models are running neck and neck with us offers
