VERYYY Slow/CPU Usage

my inspiron 6000 just started becoming extrememly slow and hot yesterday. so slow that it is basically unusable. i checked the resources being used using "cntrl alt dlt" and noticed that it was using 90-100% of the computers memory. what could be causing this? it is really hot outside, maybe this is a cause?

i just cleaned my heatsink and fans today by opening the computer and using compressed air. got a lot of dust out, but still seems to be running slow. what are my options right now? this is VERY annyoing, the laptop is not even a year old yet.


PLEASE HELP, ive ran avast antivirus, spybot, and adaware, cleaned all problems out!

how does it run in safe mode?

try reinstalling your CPU drivers...I just have the same problem and this fixed it.

As for the heat, its summer?
