Has anyone seen some really detailed paint jobs on other laptops? I'm talking equal to nice vinyls or custom detailing like you see on cars.

What paint did you use?

Nice paint job. I really would like to get mine painted too. Just gotta figure out what colors would look cool. BTW pink is cool. My desktop has pink jellyfish and font on a vivid blue background.

Just a quick update, I picked up some high gloss automotive wax and it has added a great coat of protection for the palmrest. I'm pretty sure 2 coats every month or so will keep the paint from wearing away in high traffic areas. (ROFL...this baby will get more maintenance then my own car!)

I think Dell should offer our choice of colors at time of ordering, they could charge extra.

I would have paid extra for an all black XPS-2.
