9400 gaming problem

I would give a million bucks for the answer to this one!!! I currently play mostly call of duty, game of the year and united offensive also have half life 2 and the old medal of honours also. Now I have tried all kinds of settings,drivers etc etc etc but so far both dell lappy`s i`ve owned , this one and my old 8600 don`t play this games fluidly or smoothly so to speak. Detail is fine and the graphics always look great but all these games run nice for so long and then there will be a slight skip or split second freeze in the action and then back to normal til it happens again. My 9400 has top spec unlike my old 8600 , 7900 gs 2.0 ghz ram 2.0 prcs and so on. I now it sounds minor but its also annoying as hell. I s this behaviour normal or not for pc gaming? I still have a lot to learn so I dont know if this is accepted performance or not. Would love to hear some replys from anyone with an idea how to fix this behaviour if possible. Thanks in advance.

Probally issues with GLsetup (at least with MOH). I used to play all the games you mentioned, and have had difficulty running them on "today's computers." I'm guessing you have the latest video drivers already installed, so it shouldn't be that. Just do a google search on Glsetup on Moh and you may come across some helpful hints.
