Help needed fast. Motherboard Problem.

Today, I received a refurbished motherboard from Dell and followed the instructions on removing the old one and installing the new one. After I re-did everything and pressed the power on button, the lights would light up but it would have a black screen for 5 seconds before shutting down. I could hear the harddrive spinning up too, but there is no way for me to get to the BIOS screen or the blue dell screen you see everytime you powerup. Did I do something wrong?

My friend is having the same problem. I tried to trouble shoot for an hour and a half today. I talked to dell and theyre sending a replacement screen for him. I doubt the screens the problem... When you hold down the fucntion key and power on (than release both) Does the diagnostic come on or just beeps?

It does neither of those two things. I don't hear any beeps. I'll disassemble it and re-assemble it. It is charging the battery so I know power is getting to it. Just no BIOS screen.

Ok, I just got off tech support and they told me to send back the system to the depot. I've removed the pin-mod but left the 400 fsb chip in there along with the 7800 gtx. My question is this, will Dell remove the 7800 gtx in order to get the 9300 motherboard to work. I believe that they are out of 6800 go's but they might have some still left. Anyways, am I lost of my video card forever, because I paid good money for that. I sold my 6800 go and my 533 fsb cpu. Has anyone ever experienced something like this, where you send back a system that has been modded?

bump. anyone know how to fix this issue. I've already tried tightening the cam lock and removing the pin-mod but that doesn't seem to work.
