Problems with S96j (VBI)

ok first and foremost I'd like to thank all who have helped me so far. And I'm finally posting this in the correct forum.

Specs:
T2500 CPU
2 GB Crucial Memory
80 GB HD
XP Pro

History so far:
My problems consisted of windows crashing when switching users or coming out of sleep mode. I would get a quick blue screen stating that drivers/hardware had issues and it would reboot.

I've updated my drivers with the new drivers released on 6/13 and it would still happen with and without the windows updates.

I was going to follow advice and uncheck the fast user switching option but decided to try only adding one user during the windows setup.

I've been working alot and haven't had much time this week to work on the problem. That and I've format/reinstalled windows probably 6-7 times now since I got the damn thing last week!

I will try adding a new user this weekend to see if the problem persists. If there are any other with weird issues like this I'd like to hear from you. My friend has the same machine and same setup with none of the same problems.. It's driving me mad

Thanks

well nothing is working so I am returning the notebook shell for replacement... Im thinking it is an issue with the video card or some other onboard component.. I'll let you know when I get a new one.

Or could be the RAM, in my experience that most the time it's the RAM causing the problem in notebooks, if you have 2 sticks of RAM then you can try pull one out and test the notebook with only 1 RAM to see if you can isolate the problem.

That was my initial thought. I removed one stick tested, it failed, tested other stick, it failed, I even removed the wireless card to see if it was an issue with that. It still crashed when switching users or after going into sleep mode.. Mwave now has the shell so let's see if they replace it. This is the 4th s96j I've dealt with and the only one with problems
