3DMark wont run properly

I was trying to bench my AX9 and 3DMark03 '05 '06 all exhibit the same behaviour of of red flashes/lines through out the benchmarking... very odd. it streches the demo accross the 1600x1050 resolution so wasnt sure if that is a factor or not.

I DLed the latest nvidia drivers and the installation fails to continue.. "could not locate any drivers compatible with your HW" ... these are the mobile go 7800 GTX drivers and the drivers from 3d guru... what gives?

The default vnidia drivers from the CD/Hypersonic will work... but its not behaving correctly with the becnhmarks.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

have you tried the updated drivers from nVidia......some of those tweaked drivers can cause problems........I got the where I stopped using 3rd party drivers..specialy tweaked drivers.......I dont think nVidia cards work as well as ATI with tweaked drivers....just my opinion

I am just using the drivers I recieved with the lappy. I went to the clevo website and DLed the updated drivers and installed them.. still the same issue. Im wondering if the gfx cards are bad?

I guess you could call the bad effects artifacts, but it happens during the opening/start of the demo.... there shoundlt be any stress on the gfx cards at that point... lol.

I appreciate the input.. I just need to find out the root cause and I am not sure its driver/sw realted just yet.

OK! I disabled the SLI and the demos were working. I checked the "Enable SLI multi-GPU" checkbox and the demos start showing the red lights/effects/lines. Is there another setting I need to flip in the benchmarks?

A thought ocurred to me that this might also be temp related/overheating. Do y'all know what temp threshold that would be?

I am running stock settings so I cant imagine why it would overheat at the start of the 3DMark bench... (-_-)'''''''

I figured out what the issue was. Apparently when I do/dont apply some pressure on to the laptop while the becnkmar is running, I get the red lines to appear.

When I was running a game, the lines appeared when I rested my palms on the laptop... very light pressure mind you.

And this laptop passed a extensive quality check that delayed it for 2wks? You have got to be kidding me...

Man I love this lappy but I had to return it as I was headed out of the country at the time. I didnt have time to deal with the support issues and shipped it while I was in the US.

Still no reason as to why the gfx was having the issues, my guess is the temps. Oh well, maybe I'll wait for a few more vendors to make them and purchase from them...

Glad to hear some peops have working AX9s

I'm sorry you had issues with this system. I haven't experienced issues like you were describing. I have heard of one particular incident (in another thread) that had to do with overheating issues, but the red lines issues points towards the video card.
I know that it can be an inconvenience to deal with support while you are overseas, but we do try our hardest to take care of any issues that arise. If you are overseas, we try to take care of the issues as quickly as we can.
You can always contact me for support or customer service.
