Hi all,

Well, the dog finally managed to start ruining my stuff instead of the girlfriends. Last night she completely destroyed my headset (Logitech Extreme PC Gaming). But I'm not entirely upset about it because I didn't like it. Which gives me the perfect opportunity to go buy a new one and get some feedback from you guys!

Any headsets out there that people really love and could recommend? Comfort is important and of course, sounds quality. Thanks all!

Oh, and on a side note, why is it that lately I have been seeing people with a small post count but with tons of rep?? I'm still stuck on the stupid greens...

Thanks for the help all!

Rep means little here with flame wars & people that post neg rep because someone simply has a diffent opinion. It's unfortunate but heh not much you can do about it when there are some adults that can't even grow up :/

...On another note, I use sony noise cancelling headphones on my laptop

Hooly, i would recommend the Plantronics Gaming headsets because one they have a very nice built quality and its sound quality is actually really nice.

<a href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16826106070"> Plantronics DSP 500</a>

These are the one's i have been using for the past Year and a half, they plug into a usb port but trust me the sound quality for games is out standing. The name has change but they are still good.

<a href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16826106069">Plantronics Audio 9.0</a>

If you want something around 20 bucks worth, these are good aswell i use to have these but they broke done after a years use. Trust me they are well worth it.

Hehe, thanks for the tip, Pinko

Any other headset recommendations???

I have used Plantronics before. Not too bad, but I would like something that also has great sound for music, games, etc.

Hard to find something in a decent price range that has good sound and a mic. I have always stuck with logitech and lovem. I dont use them for music tho. Just gaming.

Budget? Following are some examples:

Between $0 and $20 - Koss PRO35 from Radioshack (These are on sale for 19.99 quite often): http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=family

Between $20 and $40 - (someone suggest something in this range)

Betwen $40 and $60 - (someone suggest something in this range)

Between $60 and $80 - Grado SR 60: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...&s=electronics

Between $80 and $100 - Sennheiser HD 280 PRO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826106328

Above $100 - Sennhesier HD 650: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826106358

I know these don't have microphone attachments built-in. I suggest an omni-directional boom microphone that can clip on to these cans. Various types and sizes are available all over the web. Good luck!

I own a pair of the grado S60 and there fantastic when it comes to sound quality which rivals my E4c Shure ear buds however they becoming horribly uncomfortable after about an hour of use or less.
