Dell acquired Alienware, now what?

Does anyone know or has anyone heard what Dell’s plans are for the XPS line now that they have acquired Alienware? I am mainly curious if anyone knows about changes to product lines. For example will the XPS name be discontinued and all products that were in the XPS name now be branded as Alienware? Or will the offer both the Alienware and XPS product lines?

I’m 100% not trying to start a flame war between Dell/XPS owners and Alienware owners. I’m looking for real information, or somewhat reliable rumors, nothing along the lines of XPS or Alieware sucks so Dell will discontinue XPS or Alienware. That’s just opinion I’m looking for factual information.

i believe the plan was to leave alienware alone (ie...dont hurt a good thing). Dell knows that the young generation of gamers would much rather go with an "independent" boutique store for a high-end machine rather than with Dell or some other major brand that is associated with boring cheap office computers powered by celerons. So at least in the near future things will remain as they are... XPS will still be around, Alienware will still be around....

Alienware is still going to be based on retail technology like other top line gaming PCs. With the exception of the bot, they are going to leave it alone. Dell's XPS line is going to be a little more proprietary, but be able to push the envelope a little more than Alienware can. The one thing I do hope is that Alienware gets a line of displays based off of Dell's offerings.

^ actually the dell 2407, if you order it with a alienware desktop, you get an alienhead mounted on the top or bottom of the display
