My EX7 is dead again for 5th time and is only 18 months old. Now it wont boot . It just stop working, and make a very strange noise in the speakers, like a TIC - TAC twice a second, even before try to boot. It is not a OS problem, because I have an extrenal drive with another OS and don't work either.

2 months ago I had to replace the memory... lets see what the problem is now and how long it will take now.

Something is wrong with this computer since the begining, and they don't want to recognice it. It is not normal to have to send your computer to be repaired so many times in such a short time.

I need to add that, again, I was working on a project to be delivered on monday, and that is stucked inside of that machine, again. I feel really bad, I can't find the words for that feeling, I spent $6000 on a laptop that is not reliable at all. I'm not saying that all the Hypersonics computers are like that, but mine is absolutely not reliable. I think I will have to put that machine aside and get something serious.

But I guess if you spent $6000 on a machine you expect to have something reliable on your hands right? I'm felling fooled, and 100% regret my purchase, It is the worst purchase I ever made.

I would ask for a replacement........ you should also check with your states consumers affais office and see what rights under w warranty you have....some states like Georgia have laws to protect consumers from buying lemons....I fought dodge for 6 months over a new jeep.......I won with the help of the state of georgia.........I still only buy dodges...I just got a lemon and I gave them 5 attemps to fix it......after that the warranty was about up and I was still having problems so I filed with the state under the lemon law...since then I have bought 2 more dodges with no problems...sometimes inferior parts do get by and find their way to consumers....its up to the people who built and sold the merchandise to make it right...when they wont...take it to your state..best thing to check with is your governors office of consumer affairs.....always save all your invoices..you will need them

if you have a desktop...you can buy a device that will convert your laptop drives into usb drives and get the info off the drive you need

3 rules: backup, backup, and backup offsite =)

You can't backup 120 GB every day. I do motion graphics, my projects are huge. Also I have 3 more computers at the office, running 24x7, and never had a single problem. It is obvious that this computer or the componets it have can't work 24x7 without failing.

Mountain Man, the computer have no more warranty, and I ask for a replacement when it was on warranty, and they said no. I guess the policy of this company it is just make money, they don't care it the client will refer them to another possible clients. If I have a problem like this, and the company replace it for a new one recognizing that what they sold me is no working OK and that can not be fixed (every time gets a new problem) then I will stand for the company and recommend them, but the way it is now, only shows me that they are not capable to recognize that this computer do not meet their standard. This only damage their image even more.

I'm only wish I could have what I paid for, the most reliable and powerful desktop replacement in the market. Sadly I only have a very expensive machine I can not trust

I probably got all the inferior quality parts in the market. I'm not saying they did it on purpose, I want to be clear about that, but I don't see an effort on the company side to end this for good.

Hyper's got that new data recovery service, so you might be able to get that project back.

i know some of you might think me mad if not insane for the statement im about to type but anyhoo. my ex 7 is currently sitting in my shipping box and has been for 2 months because of constant problems with bsod's or tv tuner not working or inbuilt camera having resource issues or for that matter being found at all by the operating system. 1 of my cd/dvd drives simply decides itself from day to day weather it wants to be detected by windoze or not. in the end i tryed selling it on ebay where i was constantly harassed by moronic nigerians trying to scam me using bogus paypal emails.so now it sits there gaining dust... in the end i got sick of losing days of uni study. i dont blame hypersonic for this because they have helped me in the past and my beef is not with them. but quite clearly ex7 or clevo d900t or what ever machines regularly have had problems consistantly reoccuring. it just makes me wonder just how extensivly clevo choose to test there products before they
distribute them.

My opinion on this is that heat is not good for any machine, this machines use to work extremely hot, my believe is that is what cause so many problems on these machines. It is probably a design problem common to all the machines based on this design.

the cooling is not ideal......you have to raise the bottom up to allow good airflow...this is not a lap top laptop..lol.......I am still looking for a cooler havent found a good one yet.....I believe these are mass produced in asia, and iots up to companies like Hyper...Alienware.....VooDoo to test them out...that may be why shipping is always late........the best machine is custom built...but I dont think any laptops are cutom built...they buy the basics...case ..mobo...ps...and then add on to that...someone like Asus..or even Intel ought to design a mobo to fit these...I agree..you cant blame Hyper...it does fall back on Clevo

we can not blame them, but we got it from them.. so is their problem is the product that are selling have flaws, Right? All end on their response to the client and I think that is the big problem.
