i used CPU-Z to read my freq on battery and it was at 800Mghz lol! So I changed my energy profile to "always on" and it stays at 2.4GHZ (AX9 ML-44... this puppy is not designed for a battery profile, lol)

I have changed my profile also with no results...as soon as I go to battery I drop from 3.8 down to 3.27...........I am starting to wonder if there may be a problem with my battery or something else.....while playing Call of Duty 2 there were times while on ac power that the cpu would drop to below 3.27, this would only happen when the battles were very intense and at the same time the cpu would drop the temp would rise....I am gonna get a new game this weekend and try it again.......I do know these systems are to powerfull for the battery to handle it ..............

I would like to hear from other EX7 owners....I have reformated and checked this out with nothing more than the OS installed to insure it wasnt a program causing this......If I have to send it back for a repair thats cool.....I do like this system but I dont thing the cpu should drop at all while on ac power and shouldnt drop on a full battery when at idle.....I am still recovering from my heart procedure so it will be this weekend before I realy look deeper and try another game

hmm the only reason why I could think that the freq would drop would be due for overheating reasons. Are your temps looking ok?

tommorrow I will run the laptop for several hours and let the mobo utility run at the same time, I will post both the temp and freq while on ac power and on battery.....I will set the utilty to make a graph and get a screen shot of it and post that also...while gaming...temps are in the 70c ranges and at idle they are in the 50's and low 60's......

my AMD Turion 64 ML-44 (same as fpok) runs at 2.4Ghz while plugged in and 804Mhz while running on battery..but ya you can change that!

how can ya change that...I have tried everything I can think of......I may have to send my rig back for service...I dont want to return for refund...I like the system ...while I am just surfing the net my temps go from the mid 50c's to the low 70c's...and while gaming they get as high as 78c...then the cpu will drop and the temp will drop and ten the cpu goes back to the correct gig...this is while on ac power...on battery it starts at 3.27 and will drop down near 2 gigs sometimes.......I may be having a heat problem...this may also explain why a few days after I got the system both 1 gig ram sticks died.....also while on battery last night I noticed some electrical sounds coming from the left side speaker.....a sort of electrical interferance sound...hissing or buzzing...very low freq..had to put my ear to it...no sounds like that from anyonther speaker just the left rear speaker...I bought and installed Hit Man Blood Money and it plays very well on my machine...with all the settings maxed out I get between 40fps and 60fps...the cpu only drops slightly for a millisecond now and then..lowest I seen with that game was around 3.7 gigs.....temps still would get up around 78c for a brief second...I have reformated the system at least 4 times since I got it and I know for a fact its not a software issue....maybe a heat issue due to a power issue.....laptops are not as easy to troubleshoot as a desktop..well not for me anyway
