How hot does your notebook get?

I just got an e1705 and it gets pretty hot underneath, mostly in the middle and near the firewire/sd/mmc port area. Is this normal, is the hot summer weather factoring in? I cant seem to view the temperatures so I'm not sure if the heat levels are normal ;o

Download something like motherboard monitor so or some of those GUI interfaces that will tell you the CPU temp and see if you are in line with the others here.

just got mine as well. mine runs at normal temps and it gets pretty damn hot underneath where you described. its uncomfortable to keep it on your lap on bare skin. but i guess thats what ya get when you got the POWER in your lap.

Since changed the card to the 6800 ultra in my 9300 I can easily say that it's been keeping my room warm in the evenings. i9kfangui says my gpu's normally running between 50 and 84 degrees C. pretty much what i expected out of this guy. I'll be damned if it don't run a might bit faster then my x300 "crap out flying across the searing gorge in world of warcraft" ATI card.

My 1505 gets very hot on the bottom...especially when it is charging, but it doesnt even have that much power .

jsut checked my fangui , my maximum highest temp, is 40 degree celcius

Get a notebook cooler to sit on your desk, then your notebook on top of that. One that has fans that suck out the heat. See my sig for what I have. Works great! My 6000 no longer is warm to the touch on the plastic underneath the laptop so I know it's cooling it.

I have a program that monitors all the specs on my machine, but I don't leave it running all the time, just when I want to check up on my temps and CPU. Oh and my Hard Drive and CPU normally are at 36 degrees Celsius. Not bad right?
