S96J Battery and Webcam Driver

Hey everybody,

I built my S96J on Saturday and I have two niggling issues that I was looking for help with.

First, the battery driver isn't being installed in Windows. I installed the ACPI driver in windows, but each time I boot Windows I get the error "Windows can not load the installer for Battery. Please contact your hardware vendor for assistance." After this, I can run the driver search wizard, but nothing is detected, even when I point it to the ACPI inf's on the cd, and connect to windows update.

Secondly, I installed the newest webcam driver, and I all get when trying to access it through My Computer is a light gray screen. Has anyone thought of a solution or a better driver that doesn't require a Windows reinstall?

not sure about the first question..

but on the webcam driver..you need to install from the webcam folder...in your program files\webcam folder\

i had the same question...found through "search"

So no help with the battery, beyond the supposition that it's having a defective power meter? I'll try a reinstall of windows, because a laptop without power control isn't super fun, I don't think. If this doesn't work, attempt to send just the battery back to mwave, or would the intel warranty be applicable?
