Mobile AMD ATHLON 64 Driver 1.3.1 decreases performance on M6811 !?

When I had the driver 1.2.2.2 on my eMachines M6811 Mobile Athlon 64 3400+, the result for the calculation of 1 million digits of Pi using SuperPI was 45 seconds, and since I installed 1.3.1 it's now 52 seconds! I tried to look everywhere to get download the 1.2.2.2, but the only thing I've found is this: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/Oth...sor-1222.shtml found on http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=76361, but is it the good one for the mobile AMD ? I unistalled 1.3.1 and when I'm trying to install 1.2.2.2, it can't and it's always saying: The driver is already installed. Please unistall the previous version before continuing. And I already did that on add/remove panel...
Please is there a way I can get back to 1.2.2.2 and I think it's a shame AMD is not keeping an archive history of the old drivers, unless there is one but I don't see it...
Thx!

i believe that whatever issue u have with the performance lies somewhere else and not with the AMD Mobile Driver. I use 1.3.1 since day one with no degradation in system performance none whatsoever.
anyway - u might want to remove ALL amdk8*.* after removing the driver - before rebooting. UN-install the processor from device manager would surely force Windows to re-install the device and look for driver (this is where u can install the 1.2.2 back)
if u have the org driver disk, 1.1.0 version should be there.

I tried 1.1.0 from the original disk and it's still 52 seconds, so I guess it's not the mobile drivers fault then, I'll try booting in other windows mode to see what is really causing this and it's true, I did not do the SuperPi test for a long time before going with 1.3.1, so I guess it's something else...

I tried all that, you know what ? Even when I uninstall the cpu driver and then run SuperPi the result is still 51 seconds, so it can't be the drivers fault, I wonder what might have happened. I ran the test with almost nothing running I even killed explorer.exe and I still get 51 seconds, this is strange, I used to get 45 seconds everytime... But there was a elapse time of more than 3 months since the last time I ran SuperPi on the M6811...
I wish 1.2.2.2 would install, it's always saying that it's already there and can't install and I removed all the amdk8 from the system!

Only if I had 1.2.2.2 installed on my computer, then I could see if this version is really the best version for me to have by running superpi on it and wish for 45 seconds!
Also, maybe I should format and reinstall windows since the one I have dates from January 2005, but anyway it shouldn't really have an impact...
HAaaaaa I wish I could reinstall 1.2.2.2 maybe if someone would send me the .sys files of 1.2.2.2 for the mobile amd 64 windows 32 bits, I could install it manually ?

Your results can be from anything, but most likely not your CPU driver. If ANYTHING is using CPU time while you are running SuperPi that wasn't before, your results will be worse. The only time you should be concerned about varying results is if your are 100% sure the test is being run an an identical environment, which isn't the case if it has been months.

download SysTool and perform the CPU benchmark with 1Mb Pi
http://www.techpowerup.com/systool/

u'll see a big discrepancy in the number

on the lighter side:
how do u know the difference between a bank robber and a soccer superstar? just listen to them:
"give me the money or I shoot" - the bank robber
"give me the money or I will not shoot" - the soccer superstar.
