CapsLock Toggle Beep Gone

Ok, so I 've given up my search for the CapsLock indicator LEDs on my Sentia.
Good thing I' found the caps lock toggle function in Window's Accessibility control. It would beep everytime I hit the CapsLock key.

Unfortunately, I noticed several days ago that it stopped working!
I checkd and re-did the set up in Accessibility but it's not working anymore. - NO BEEP!

My sound/speakers are ok, I can play & hear music fine.

any ideas what went wrong this time?

thanks.

check bios, some have a setting for that
or maybe registry went faulty(Shows correct but loads wrong)
or something else may have been changed to afect behavior- funny cuz I never heard of the caps lock beeping...haha

thanks man.

i know, but the beep is the only option to remind me when my CapsLock is on or not.
My Sentia DOES NOT have any LED indicators of the CAPSLOCK, etc.

any more ideas?

there r systray and task bar apps that do that

I have a light on mine, but the only thing that lets me know caps is on is that all my text is big...lol

That's the thing....MY SENTIA HAVE NO LED INDICATORS!
I've been posting about this question for decades now and still unclear.

Why does everybody seem to have LED Indicators on their Sentia for CAPS LOCK, WLAN, etc...? The only LEDs I have are the two at the bottom edge (moon & batt) and the power button.

I settled with the beep indication while I'm waiting for a confirmation. I was relying on it to tell me when Caps is ON or OFF. But even that one stopped working.

I have sent this lappy twice already back to Miami for repairs. Still I did not get any confirmation about my LED displays.

I've read from someone to look at the plastic column at the right of the keyboard... But I cannot see any silouhette or something that would indicate any possible hidden LEDs.

Anyone?

Well, as I'm quite sure I've told you before, if you're not getting LED indicators, it's likely a problem with the computer itself. Call AW, let them know. You've a 223, if I remember correctly, which means that they should show up on the right hand side of the keyboard, unless they've gone out, or are not connected properly. Basically, it's a tech support issure, an' there really isn't much you can expect us to do about it. Basically: It's probably either a)Something that will be fixed by fixing your registry, doubtful, b)Something that a BIOS flash will fix, more likely, or c)A problem with the motherboard itself, also likely.
Pop quiz everyone, where have I answered this question before?

Thanks everyone.

AW admits it's their fault. They just overlooked the problem TWICE.
sEE, we've already sent this lappy back to Miami two times now (bad board n stuff) and we cannot afford another horrible down time (months).

It is always a pain dealing with AW over the phone and shipping because we are located outside the US. It costs us long distance charges, customs, taxes...etc.

We have to ask AW to asure us with total coverage of ALL expense and compensate for ALL the troubles.

Thanks.

You can use 3rd party software. Caps Lock Indicator or Keyboard LEDs for example.
