Acer 5672 Orbicam Driver Error

Hey guys. Just got my shiny new 5672 and am loving it so far. Reformatted reinstalled most stuff, but I can't get the Orbicam drivers to install. The software is on there, but it says the driver is stuffed and when I open the program it claims the Orbicam isn't even plugged in! Anybody else had this problem? Any help much appreciated!

you did the drivers first right? not the orbicam software? i know that might sound like too obvious, but i ask because i seen it done..lol but yea,

The download from the site had two options, install the software and the drivers or install the drivers. I chose the first option, as I want the software and the driver.

It looks like I have the same problem. Somebody confirm before that it's a wire and Acer repairs it under warranty.

Currently, I have a message that camera is not connected and it doesn't work at all.

I also have this problem, and it can also lead to errors for other usb devices when the power wire to the integrated cam is not working. USB can forget other devices as it randomly draws power (some systems show huge bandwidth draw on that hub, or zero power draw)

time to send it in.. sigh.

Just download the webcam drivers fom the European website and you should have no problems..... thats what I did for the webcam

most of us with orbicam problems it is not driver related - the hardware is failing. but thanks anyhow, and yeah, the euro ftp is the best one so far.
