Sending back my 8600..... - Page 2

Oh god, I remember when I used to say that!

Watch your ass over there

Well, take some time every once in awhile to look over your shoulder to make sure some dude isn't pointing a rocket launcher at you or something, ok?

I notice a slightly brighter section to my laptop on the bottom of the screen, but wow, I can't believe this is enough to warrant the exepense and time troubles of sending it back. I've yet to see a perfect laptop, but I'm more than happy with my 8600.

I am now very happy with my laptop. I sent it back becasue I spen 2k and got a second screen that was very used. They told me that I would not get a new screen, only refurb. So they said they would send me a brand new machine. I said ok, and it only took 5 days to get the new one. The new laptop came with a pre paid airbill and Aexpress came and picked the old one up.

To me that's very good CS.

Hell yes its way more than enough to warrant the expense and time to send it back. Its not like I didnt give Dell a chance to fix it, I gave them 3, and they didnt come through, the support was great, they sent out the screen over night to me then overnighted one on the weekend to the tech guy who installed 2 new ones for me. NONE of them were any better. I think EVERYONE should do this! Seriously, people need to start showing Dell that they arent going to pay over $2000 dollars for a laptop and have somthing that has problems. Maybe then Dell would realize they need to fix the problem!

Well, I just shipped my 8600 back to Dell, only cost me $20 bucks with insurance... I feel... empty now
post #30 of 33
$20 is pretty cheap. I hope you didn't use the US postal service.

No, I went with UPS, its fairly close to where I work.

Good, I do not trust the USPS with high value items.

My Mum sent me a frying pan via the USPS and it showed up bent in half. No kidding they must have run over it. This thing was very heavy and cost $$$, you know what they said... Should have insured it. It was a frying pan for God's sake, who would have ever thought that they could destroy it!

Only use them for a few bill that I don't do online.
