10.4.7 is available in Software Update.

This is from GearLive:

Looks like Apple has just released the latest Mac OS X Update, bringing Tiger to 10.4.7. The update is recommended for all users and includes general operating system fixes, as well as specific fixes for the following applications and technologies. It includes fixes for:

preventing AFP deadlocks and dropped connections
saving Adobe and Quark documents to AFP mounted volumes
Bluetooth file transfers, pairing and connecting to a Bluetooth mouse, and syncing to mobile phones
audio playback in QuickTime, iTunes, Final Cut Pro, and Soundtrack applications
ensuring icons are spaced correctly when viewed on desktop
determining the space required to burn folders
iChat audio and video connectivity, creating chat rooms when using AIM
importing files into Keynote 3
PDF workflows when using iCal and iPhoto
reliable use of Automator actions within workflows
importing and removing fonts in Font Book
syncing addresses, bookmarks, calendar events and files to .Mac
compatibility with third party applications and devices
previous standalone security updates

I doubt it. I think they have the fans on all the time so they overheating issue would subside. My fans now, which usually never were on, are now on almost all the time. It isn't very loud anyway, but may use up some battery power.

Wait a week before updating, and then only after a good backup.

So you can let other people test it and see if anything breaks.

I don't make money with your computer so feel free to do as you please.

I installed it—after a back up, because I'm like that—and it works fine. Though I never install the version from System Update, I always download the combo installer from Apple and install that as it replaces everything not just the changed files, so if there's anything wrong with older files it gets fixed with the combo update.

The update orked fine with my machine also. Now I have the 2 finger scroll on my new Macbook becuse I did not have it when I got this machine.10.4.7 fixed this.

my MB came with 10.4.6 and the two finger scroll worked fine out of box.

odd that you didnt have it. maybe an option in the mouse properties needed changed. but mine was factory when i got it, so thats odd.
