Hit up Google for "windows shared folders"

You're not stealing the files from a computer on the wifi you're stealing, are you? (jk)

But since you said you have a lot of files you'd be better off sharing files using a wired connection since the transfer rates will be much faster.

You can put security on it, and it won't mess up the connection. However, I have had my own share of problems with sending data over a network, with some files/folders never being transfered, and it ended up with me having a few of my poems and stuff lost for good while transfering it over to a replacement computer.

you can still share files, google for share folder, its just that over a wireless network it will be slow

edit: I backup wirelessly to a folder that is shared on my network. not as fast as a connected ub 2.0 drive.
more like the speed of an old 10 base t network.
