I was going to make a new post about my 5760 but I will just link the review that I did over here: http://www.notebookreview.com/defaul...iew=Sager+5760

very good review! I don't read all of it, i just read the intro, gaming performance and some other stuff. I'm not saying it was a bad review i just had to go right when i was reading it

It is an excellent review. I recommend all who are interested in the NP5760 read Kilim's review on NBR.

nice scores. any chance you have gotten higher 3dmark05 scores with some overlcocking?
Also, can you overclock the core duo like you can the pm in the bios if you have a pata drive?

I did not overclock my 5760 and didn't plan to in the future.
All I did was include the benchmarks from with and without the Dual Core Hotfix.

I actually just checked the BIOS and somehow I am not able to see any way to change the clockspeed in the BIOS.
So I do not think one can OC it via the BIOS for now.
I have not really OC any of my systems so I am not very familiar in overclocking anything

I was considering the 5760, especially since it's Merom-compatiable but unfortunately, I have to buy a new vehicle.

Regardless, this review was one of the best reviews of the machine I've seen, not just for the benchmarks, but for the personal touch as well. I'll be sure to refer others who want to review their laptops to base it off of yours.

Put me in the Wanted-a-5760-but-had-to-change-rigs-instead line, too

I'll blame it on Boogie.

Your welcome.

Is there anyway possible that you can post BF2142 Beta benchmarks?

Great review, really helpful, Thanks!

Your review provided me more information about what I wanted to know on the unit than any other review to date. Sorry you had to send your unit back but thanks for taking the time to write such a comprehensible review of this product. Mine is on order for now but I truly look forward to getting it.

Now that you have had the unit for months, how do you feel about it?

Thanks for the great review as well. I have just ordered my 5760 with all the goodies and can't wait for it to arrive. If you do get a chance to frap the BF2142 let us know here. I am still working with a P4 3.2 Ghz Crapshiba and would like to compare FPS.

Thanks
Ron

NP5760 up to 2GB ram

As an owner of this notebook for almost a year, I feel like posting a note/rant.
Although it was initially claimed that this unit could hold up to 4Gb of Ram, as the review of last year mentions, it seems imho that Sager has decided to "cripple" it, in view of the newer model the 5790.
So if you go to Sagers website, you can now see that the NP5760 has capacity of up to 2GBram whereas the NP5790 can hold 4GBram.
I feel this is not right, 'cause one of the promoted advantages and benefits of buying this notebook last year, was its upgrade ability from RAM to CPU, VGA, HDD etc.
Can anyone confirm this?
Has anyone fitted 4gbram in his NP5760 and does it work?

http://www.clevo.com.tw/products/M570U.asp You can check out Clevo's website, according to them the 570U which is a 5760, can be upgraded to 4gb. Clevo makes the laptops and sells them to sager who add everything but the motherboard. So from what i can tell sager made so the laptop can only hold 2gb
