Hi-

Is it possible to dual boot microsoft windows xp pro and mac os x? I would like to do this on my laptop but am not sure if it is possible. I have only heard it apply to linux, etc. never windows and mac. Thanks!

mac os is not compatible with x86 computers you can get emulators but they only support the older versions of mac os

Well, according to Tech TV's 2004 Technology Almanac (p 24-25) you CAN build a G4/PC Hybrid PC!!!

Here's a glimpse:

The goal is to "-Build a single computer that runs Jaguar and XP natvely with one keyboard, one mouse, and one monitor. -Bonus: Have PIP support so you can launch and view PC and Mac programs on the same monitor."

These two pages give a little walk through, from the case and assembly of hardware (with links to where you can purchase these) to installing software. I highly recommend if you want a challenge.

Another option is getting a Mac and having a Virtual PC type of software in which you can emulate XP on a Mac at a cost of performance.
