At last I can be helpful on this forum!
Richleeson, I bought FE21B for my girlfriend less than a week ago and I do have few things I could share with you.
First of all, there are better alternatives available on the market but, as usual, women go for the design and you can't argue with that. Ok at least it was easy to choose. And I must say it does look (and feel) great.
Keyboard is very comfortable comparing to some other laptops that have passed through my hands.
However, my main disappointment was the screen. Maybe it's because I got used to working on 16.1 inch. But still the picture on FE21B is too light and could've been more saturated. If you think you might be using some graphic programs then go for a bigger screen.
The sound comes next. Maybe it's just me again not being able to set up everything properly but I can't hear much on these built-in speakers. Ok if someone else tells you anything about the speakers then they ARE crap. Don't just rely on my opinion.
Other pretty dumb move Sony did was to place all usb ports on the right side, just next to where the mouse is usualy placed. When you have 2 usb cables + flash usb connected the mouse has limited 'running area'
As usual, Sony sells their computers with lot's of SH*T pre-installed so expect to be distracted every 20 mins by some message on the screen asking you to register or download an update for the first week
(By the way, does anyone know how to clean everything and start with just windows? Recovery Disk doesn't come with FE21B but it's possible to make one using sony tool. Would it mean that i'll end up with a clear computer or with the same files and programs that i have installed now?)
Also it seems like you are buying in the UK. Just so you know: I bought mine for £835 from a shop in London.
