Hello

I jost got a notbook Acer Aspire 1640z, Intel P Centrino 1,73 GHz, 1x512 MB RAM, 128 MB shared video memory.

The problme was that the BIOS version 3A06/1A13 did not let me set the amoung of shared video memory, this was set at 64 MB (not 128) and it was greyed. SO, i flashed it at the latest version founded at www.acer.com, version 3A06 /1A20 and now i can set up the amoung of shared video memory to 64/128/mavWMT.. everithing is ok till bere, but now comes the BIG PROBLEM. My notebook doesn't have sound anymore, not in sthe speakers, not in the heatphones, not from microfone. This is happening in windows (xp home), in DOS (tryed to play a dos game) and even in BIOS utility (with old version, if i was in BIOS utility and press for example F2, bip sound could be heard in spekers, now, with new version is gone). Under windows, the sounde drivers are instaled, i can moove the sliders from the mixer, i cheked and uncheked every setting...An interesting fact was that after i made the flash to the new version, after reboot, i nouticed that drivers for video, usb, sound changed a little bit, the sistem reinstalled them, so i belive that the new version has a little difrent adressing from the old one, and maybe here is the problem. I tried to downgrade to the first BIOS version, using the BIOS back up made by the flusher, the sound came back, but, anotrher problem, this time with video, the image, even the dysplay image from BIOS UTILITY is smaller just 1024x768 and it is in the upper left corner of the LCD pannel, and in the right and botom is a black band.

Please help me with this probleme, maybe U can tell me where to find some other files for another BIOS vesion, so i cand fix the sound problem, or at least to have back the normal resolution (1280x800).

Thank you
