Personally I love my genuine Intel motherboard. There is just no beating the stability of the real thing. My Intel motherboard hasn't given me a single bit of trouble since I installed it several months ago, not one lock-up, reboot, nothing. Plus, I was able to download their free motherboard monitoring software, which shows me temperatures and voltages on the motherboard and power supply, as well as hard drive health and so forth. I love it.

That's not it, that's not even SLI. That's an Nforce 4, not 5.

o joy... when core 2's hit...

hmm i made a thread a while back but then i only got the part about amd desktop...

now im need an intel desktop set up that i could put on my wishlist on newegg so i can get all the prices situated.

so all i got now what im going to get is :

Intel Pentium D 805 Smithfield ( for the over clocking purposes plus i could always upgrade it to core 2)

dual tv tuner ( one that has some good quality to watch tv on)

mobo: chode letting me know about the nforce 590 SLi Intel Edition. ( if it has 4 gb upgrade of ram im all good... always wanted to hit over 2 gigs of ram someday)

case : i could go cheap with this. i could use the one i have or sell my computer and just start all the way over.

graphics card: i dont know at all.. a good one that is compatible with the mobo and plays games that are out. ( tired of playing starcraft with this old lame intergrated video card)

screen: i have a 14' screen i think maybe 15' i dunno. but i might need to get a bigger one since i want to watch tv on it and i already watch dvds on it.

speakers: heh i stole my good old logitech speakers when i got this computer. parents didnt know how to fix them so i did i got some good speakers.

ram: i would like to get 1 gig of ram when i get the desktop at least but really would like to get 2 gigs since thats my ram i had on my sony vaio and that was a damn good upgrade i put on it. i would very much like that on my desktop also.

i dont know what else im missing.. got any good ideas let me know. ( like costs or anything like that..) earliest i could wait is this month. latest is til this december because i get rents to pay for mostly everything... if not everything.
