They probably weren't selling very many at the original price point.

The new EPP coupons seems to work. I was able to price one at 30% off plus the 12% EPP discount.

Wow.
Are you frikkin serious.

For 30 more dollars from what I paid ($1233) for the subtotal, you could get the EXACT same system with 3 year warranty when I got only 1.

GOGOGO! BowevelJoe gogoo!

What is the EPP Coupon? So what you are saying is you got 42% off the XPS system? Where can I get this EPP coupon?

I'm wondering the same thing

You can get it with both a 30% and 12% discount. EPP - Employee Purcahse Program.
Actually some REALLY lucky people can get it at 50% + 12% or 75% + 12% off. (DELL sent out "mystery coupons" today that range from 30% - 50% - 75% off). I am sure the 50% and 75% off coupons were few and far between. It will be interesting to see if they wind up on eBay. Actually some of the 30% coupons are already on eBay.

i just bought a full featured XPS 1210 with the 12% and then an additional 30% off!!! I saved over 1100 dollars!!! Definitely try to get one of those coupons if you can. It is definitely worth the extra bux on ebay!

So how do you go about getting one of these EPP codes
post #11 of 40
There is someone on ebay who is selling the 75% off Dell EPP coupon.
But the auction lasts for 4 days+.
I'm sure he was waiting for some aggressive bidding, but now that the coupon doesn't work on XPS systems, 0 bids.

Am I the only one who is very amused by this? Or maybe I'm just evil.

Got my coupon on ebay but some time this afternoon they stopped working. I wonder whether they are glitches and they fix them or intentional marketing strategies to get people talking..
What boggles me is that the coupon clearly states 30% of ANY Dell system, last time I checked the XPS notebooks ARE DELL SYSTEMS. Even in the fine print that you can read when you check the coupon online does not mention anything about it not including XPS systems.

I ordered mine and saved a bundle, I hope it doesn't get cancelled.

Yup they must be limited to the first 12 users or something.. Pretty happy I got the 3yr warranty and could drop the camera.

Did you order a second one or just cheering for me?
Last time the $750 off $1999 coupon worked on the M1210 and wasn't supposed to, all the orders got filled. So I don't think you guys have anything to worry about. Mine ended up being about $1100 after the coupon, a gift card, shipping and tax for the T2400, 1gb, 7400, 60gb 5400rpm, 3yr warranty. Consider yourselves lucky you got a good deal, this is a sweet sytem.

Just cheering for you and all those who were able to use the coupon for the XPS systems, as they are very nice notebooks.
