Hey,

I heard from somewhere that if i change the hardware of the Dell i9300 or any Dell computer that i will lose the use of my windows as its a OEM or something like that.

I was planning to get more ram and put it in and i was wondering if i am gonna get any complications such as my windows not starting up, not being able to install my windows xp from my dell cd i got or anything like that.

I'm in Australia if that makes any difference.

You will have no problems upgrading your ram. I upgraded to 2 gigs of ram. I formatted and reinstalled windows after the upgrade with no problem.

You can change any part on you laptop (or Desktop) and still install window's no problem. If you re-installed windows recently you may have to re-activate it by Calling Microsoft.

I upgrade my hardware several times a year, Microsoft know's me by First Name lol
