Thread Starter
I have a Aurora 5500 and want to sell and upgrade to a lil faster rig. Current specs are: black Alienware 1.5 case w/ Terra green cooling, AMD 4000+ @ 2.6 , ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe, Alienware 2gb (4 x 512) of pc3200 ram, 80gb HD, dvdrom, dvdrw, floppy, Atech card reader, Audigy ZS sound card, BFG 7900 GT OC, Alienware ALX wireless keyboard/mouse and Windows XP SP2 recovery cd/serial.

I sold my Star Wars edition with a FX-60 to take care of some bills and wish i didnt have to and now want to build something as par as that rig was. Thanks for any reply.

Well decided to go ahead and sell this , will include a AMD oem fx-60 heatsink/fan (not yet installed) also will include all alienware cds (windows xp pro sp2 restore, and aurora 7500 cd) and will include 6 games i have for it but not yet installed to start you off with.( CoD, CoD United Offensive expansion, CoD2, FEAR, Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy) and AlienGUI with all themes including Star Wars themes.

asking price $1450 shipped
or Pm me with offers and for pics

How much would it cost to configure a comparable system? Use that as a starting point, and take a few hundred off...maybe up to 20% ???

Well a comparable system thru Alienware (pretty much same specs) costs right around $2000, but now are the days of dual core systems so if i was to estimate it i'd say it's worth around $1300

shoot for 1400-1500 and you will have a beetter price, because a computer that good, even the ram is about 200 bucks, and a very good proccessor, with the graphics card, 1400-1500 will be a very good price

Yes, I'm watching one right now that has almost the same specs cept it has a 7900 gtx and only 1gb of ram and a multimedia kb/mouse instead of the wireless set this one has and no dvd burner or card reader, it has a day left. But even Alienware towers dont get alot on there, alot of people want alot for nothing anymore.

I am, but I'm in the process of selling my laptop right now.

I would buy it off you if I had the cash, but that doesn't help you now though.

Not sure if you're interested or if you'll do it yourself, but when you do sell this and upgrade to a faster rig, I'm a system builder and high-end gamers are my specialty. I hate it when insurance adjusters call me for a $500 system... Grrr. Lol, anyway, just thought I'd offer.
