the service guy offered to send me a new screen with delivery.

i said yes only if the screen came in the case, like i wouldn have to take apart the plastic surrounding the lcs screen.

and also if i wouldnt have to send my screen first.

dont know if they do this, else i wanted a guy to pick it up.

ill probably not be able to change the screen haha

The screen comes in the case.. in fact it's the entire lid of the notebook.. Replacing it is really easy! I replaced my screen and keyboard in about 30 minutes yesterday.
they also send you a sticker for free pickup and delivery for the old components a la Airborne Express.. So no worries.. You have 10-15 days after you recieve your new components to send back your old ones..
Very easy, Highly recommended!

ok thanks, was that just if i send in the machine, and get it back with worse screen or dead pixles.

no dead pixles on this one. so if the new one is worse ill just send that back.

now to find a tut and read up.

hmm, the dell guy answer me fast, 3 times today so far over mail.

There is a link the the support forum to the service manual that will show you how to do it. Looks pretty easy.
