SXGA- NO I have not noticed the bright area. But you have to remember, unlike a lot of people here, Im not very picky, Im not going over it with a magnifying glass and looking for hairs and fingerprints!!!
or any issues. I just use it "naturally" and so far nothing has jumped out as being unusual or bothersome. Im sure if I shut off all the lights I would see brighter areas.....
.I don't know man.Im a pretty practical guy. I just get a machine, uninstall the crap i don't want and just use it. As you know by now, Im not into the "hobby" part like the asthetics of the case, the benchmarks, whether or not the keyboard flexes slightly ot gets a little warm..Im not all into the clean XP load and all that. I have not loaded XP Pro on mine and I probably won't. IThere is really no performance difference between the two versions XP Pro has the added security features and extended networking features which really don't aply to a "home" network where you are not setting up domains. I'll waste a great morning doing it!
But I suppose it makes many feel better to start clean and really make it ther own. Go for it.
Remember this, People who expect perfection are usually dissapointed more and lead more stressful lives than those who accept and can be content with what is.
