Intel Chip Prices Dropping,When??

hey, so ive been on vacation for a few weeks but I read somewhere back in June that intel waslowering all their prices on chips by a good margin sometime in July, and I'm just wondering if they have set a solid date as to when this will be or has it already happened? I'm waiting to order an e1705 but just waiting for the chip prices to be lowered so that the lappy will be a lot cheaper in itself. I spent about 10 min searching these boards for info on it but still have faield to find it. Any ideas?

Thanks, Matt

If you're waiting for the Core Duo price drops, they already happened to allow the 2.33GHz version into the top spot. I don't remember reading much about any more price drops for the mobile chips. (desktop is a totally different story)

thats REALLY hard to say..

My suggestion would be to hold off and see if you can officially put a merom in the asus s69j. If you can, the best deal will be to buy a barebone s96j and BIY
