So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

One of the longest and most enduring brands in computers is Thinkpad. Originally developed by IBM in the USA, Thinkpad notebook computers are now...
One reason for going with a 2.0, I can see, would be come resale time. 2Ghz just looks beefier than 1.8Ghz on an auction header. I plan to upgrade as early as possible to Merom, so it didn't weight into my decision.
As hyper said 1.8 is the way to go, I went 2.0 just because I don't think I'll have time to upgrade later on, and I kinda just wanted the faster processor for some reason.
Edit: And does the order status always say processing until the laptop is shipped, or will it let me know when their building?
Man, it makes me nervous knowing that I have "pre-ordered" the laptop... lol, Ken assured me that I wouldn't have to worry about it, but it still has me nervous. And... the 2.0 was the way to go for me personally. I will have a "beefy" enough processor to wait for the merom's to drop in price a few times, so I won't need to upgrade as soon. I plan on holding out on the meroms as long as I can so that I'll be able to save my money. lol... plus, I think this config is going to be just fine for me for a while atleast.
It means that although the S96J is currently out, GenTech is out/low on stock. I have pre-ordered, and even though they have some currently, I will probably get one from the July 14th set that comes through. However, GenTech will be able to ship me one sooner than any other reseller at the moment, and for this beast, it has to be worth the wait.
I just wanted to add a few remarks regarding GenTech. I've been impressed with their customer support. I called in and Ken was happy to answer any of my questions. He has now gone out of his way to contact me about the status of my order. I had some reserves because I simply had not heard as much about GenTech as some of the other resellers prior to my purchase, but it has been a phenomenol experience so far...(I ordered the laptop the night of the 5th). I don't anticipate any problems, but in the rare event that I receive my laptop and something is wrong, I have no worries about talking to someone from GenTech about it. I can tell that they really care about their customers. I've ordered from other companies, and GenTech has been the most pleasurable to deal with.
I order mine on the 26th and will be most likely getting the notebook on mon or tuesday (YAY!!). GenTech is a damn good notebook vendor and they will have my buisness in the future aswell.
