Aspire 1642Z and recovery

Today I got the Aspire 1642Z. It has an automatic installation procedure and no recovery DVD/CD.

I started the installation procedure; after it went for a while I had a interruption of the electricty at home.
After it turned back I booted the notebook again, it starts with a recovery procedure; after several steps it asks for a recovery DVD/CD, which I haven't.
In the FAQ's of the User's Guide there is mentioned a way around this:
1. Setup should be set to D2D recovery; press <Alt> + <F10> as soon as the Acer logo is showing.
Well I have tried this over and over - with very small alterations: start with ALT and while holding down ALT press F10 and reverse, but the notebook is keeps asking for a recovery DVD/CD.

I don't know what to do else. Can someone else help?

Thanks,

D2D is enabled, but it stays the same: asking for a DVD/CD and pushing the drive open.

Thanks,

Meanwhile I got a recovery DVD from the dealer, tried it, it seems to install, but after finishing (some 20 minutes later), it comes back to the very first start of the recovery procedure, and everything repeats if I give the go sign: loop.

So I think it must be go back to the manufacturer.
