Hi All. Great forum.

I'll preface my post by saying I've spent quite a few hours searching for solutions via google and on here to no avail. And also you can write what I know about computers on the face of an emoticon.

Here's the problems. I've very recently brought an ASUS W3Z. It came with a logitech cordless optical mouse. I've read around other peoples problems with the compatability between it and the touchpad, but my problem is that it's listed under the "Hardware" tab of the "Mouse" tab in CP as working at "Location 0" (whatever that may be). Under the "devices" tab it's also shown, but not in the "Device Settings" tab - so I can't enable it.

In a nutshell if I have the automatic pad disabler turned on the pad disables (as the system says another pointer detected) but I can't control the cursor with the mouse. Any ideas?

The second problem I'm having is with an external fan I brought which uses the PCMICA slot. Again, the laptop rexognised it but under device mgt I'm getting an "Error 34" and it says:

"Windows cannot determine the settings for this device. Consult the documentation that came with this device and use the Resource tab to set the configuration. (Code 34)"

(The fan is model nb101 from "just cooler" btw)

Thanks for taking the time to read this post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
