Looking for some advice....

Hey all,

I'm looking for a bit of advice. I've been having a few problems with my Gen2 lately and am wondering what I should do.

1.
While playing WoW, I seem to be getting artifacts(?) occasionally. Not every day but at least once a week or so. I'm not sure exactly what aritfacts are but what happens is the screen will be unviewable with all sorts of random colours (kinda like seeing snow on a TV channel that isn't working)

2.
My temperatures have been really high lately on my 6800 Ultra. It's idling at around 65-68 degrees when normally it has been 48-ish. I should probably clean out my machine but could count for a 20 degree rise??

3.
I almost never turnoff my machine. I always put it on standby. Even when not using it for a day or two, the battery only loses at most 10% of its power. Lately though, I have put it on standby at night and come back in the morning to a dead battery. I do have an extra battery (lifesaver), but I haven't checked tto see if it does the same thing yet. I'm assuming this is a battery problem? And can I get it replaced??

I have full Complete Care/ Onsite Next Business Day warranty. Just wondering how I should go about looking for help from Dell. What kind of questions should I be asking them etc.??

Might seem a funny question but I haven't had to deal with Support for any warranty issues before.

Well, number 2 on your list is most likely the cause of number 1. Are you overclocking at all?? I would definitely clean out your fans, there is most likely a heat issue there.

As for the battery, how long have you had the machine?? Leaving it on battery power all the time is gonna take its toll on the battery eventually, and Dell won't replace it when it starts to go
