My 5672 has decided to stop running bf2 and I was just wondering if anyone else here has had a similar problem. This occured after installing the power management software. Any ideas?

What software? Does setting the software to something like "max performance" fix it?

Check your ATI Powerplay settings, and check what your ePower Mgmt Software, make sure your CPU is on MAX,

Running on battery or A/C?

This is the standard Acer ePower management software. Plugged in or on battery, it makes no difference, still won't run.

uninstall bf2, and re-install, works fine on my system, and all high settings, not lag or nothing

Sigh, yeah, I hate reinstalling bf2. Guess I'll have to do it now though.

it's not, if he just installed it from cd he might need a patch. but i seen this on a few notebooks check the bf2 forums, it's common, most attribute it to faulty drivers? what driver are you running original ati? omega? there is a suggestion to make your way to C:\documents and settings\ USERNAME\ My documents\Battlefield 2\bf2\cache\ and delete all cache files and try it again, and throw in a defrag after delting the cahe files, and disk cleanup, otherwise, it's wierd though...out of curiousity....is it a legal copy of bf2? not anything off torrent sites? if so hit up EA games and bug support about it, maybe even a dual core support conflict or some crazy thing, that could be solved with a 1 instead of a 0 somewhere

Got it working again after a full reinstall. Pain in the arse as for some reason although bf2 loads and plays well, it installs slow as s%^& on the 5672. Hopefully won't be long before I have my true gaming machine up and running.
