Dell extended warranty offer in the mail

It's been about 3 weeks since I received my 1210 and I just got a mailer about getting an extended warranty. I bet that they must send this out to everyone shortly after purchasing a new system. Here's the deal, I only bought a 1 year because I don't have many problems with my systems and even when I do it's usually something very small that's much cheaper than the price of a warranty anyways (drives going bad, keyboard etc.). I am seriously considering this though because it sounds like a good deal to me. I like thier math though , don't they have someone double check these things before they get mailed? The $280 matches the list price on thier website, so I'd really only be saving $75 from full price, not $145.

Regular ext warranty price__$350
Warr extension discount_____-50
Price after discount________$280
Exclusive mail-in rebate_____-75
________________________$205 to extend my warranty from 1 year to 4 year

I'm asking for opinions on weather I should just wait until it's almost expired to decide if I want to extend. Or should I take up this "one time offer"?

well for 200$ its a good selling addition if you ever wanna ebay the laptop.

dells with warranties sell for probably 200$ more on ebay. so youll at least get your money back, and probably 100% sell your laptop.

i always buy 2yr with my laptop, and yes ive recieved the offer as well, but passed because i was cheap at the time.

if your going to sell it here. most people are to cheap but if you sell for real world values the extra warranty with complete care raises the price by 20-30%
