Half-Life 2 reinstall: will I screw up my keys?

So I'm moving my e1505 drive to my e1705. I had Half Life 2 installed on the e1505. If I reformat everything, will I screw my key up preventing me from playing on the 1705?

Is the only way to reset the key still to send the disks out to steam ??

this seems more like a question about steam then a dell why not try posting it in the straferight forums too might get a faster response.

I guess you're right. At least it's about moving something from one dell to another
