Newest BIOS has been posted at the Dell Driver and Download section, dated 7/3/06.

I am pretty sure that is the 2.33 core duo (32 bit). I hope she takes a merom tho....I went with the 1.66 in hopes of a later upgrade.

Very nice laptop.

Well the first bios supports Merom chips. I'm sort of scared to upgrade I think on some of the other systems the newer bios have made Merom ES chips not work.
