Finally ordered Asus W3J!!!

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Asus W3J from Geared2Play. I am so excited. I bought this after returning my Dell Inspiron E1705 for being too big. Hopefully this baby will run well and last me a good 3-4 years. Hopefully it will have a solid build and nice everything else too. I can't wait to receive it. When do people usually receive their machines after ordering? I live in NJ and the company Geared2Play is in NY. I also ordered overnight shipping so I should get it relatively fast right? Man I can't wait. I just thought I'd share my excitement with you guys.

Was Geared2Play the best deal that you could find for the W3J?

I recommend Geared2play if you're planning to purchase from them. Eddie is very helpful and knowledgeable, and most people that have dealt with his company have been very pleased.

For me.. Gentech has the cheapest price when compared to most resellers (considering state sales tax also). My total came to about $1730.

how did you manage to get it down so cheap? even with 5% off, with the extra ram factored in, it's still more than $1730. and shipping? and tax?

i live in southern california myself, so i'm trying to find a good vendor who will sell as cheaply as you have found.

The price quoted above is stock.. that's with the 1x1GB RAM.. I just replaced that with 2X1GB Corsair RAM for $79 each from Newegg. And since Gentech is in CA and I live in NY, I didn't have to pay taxes.

I too bought my laptop from Geared2Play and recieved it on Monday (with an extra stick of RAM). I heartily reccomend them. For a while I was afraid since G2P was from Brooklyn, NY and all of us have heard of Buy Rite Photo and the likes. Thankfully they are legit and top it all of excellent.

I sold my z71v, was thinkin about gettin the w3j, from geared2play, however it appears they only accept paypal, which i dont use and hate.
It's really not that bad, Paypal I mean. I don't have an account and just used a CC to order.
oh really, didnt know that. I thought you had to make an account. Paypal screwed me in 03 so i havnt used them since.

Nope. Some people allow for the use of Credit Card payments via PayPal. G2P does for sure.

If you don't like something due to fraud, etc, just call up your CC and cancel charges and than deal with it.
