Can the E1705 operate with the lid closed?

As I have seen, several notebooks (e.g. from FSC) are able to operate as media players (or at least CD players) even with the lid closed.
What's the case with E1705? Can we do anything when the lid is closed, i.e. use it as a media center?
I suppose we could barely open the lid to do that, but thats not what I ask!

YES, it can fully operate with the LID closed if you set it in power options to "when I shut the lid"... "do nothing"

Plus you can use the MediaDirect thing, not even booting Windows. Don't know if it works with the lid closed, but I suppose so.

Yuck on that MediaDirect thing, but yeh, suppose you could... it'll work with the lid closed, just put the taskmanager in that partition and start the explorer.exe and get to the control panel and set it that way and it'll be fine.
