I Tunes track info

My I book g4, when adding a new purchased CD sometimes will only list "track1 and track2" and so on instead of the title of the song on that CD. This becomes a problem because I wind up with multiple track 1's and can't tell what I have. However my Imac core duo doesn't have the problem with any CD and lists title. Both have latest updates. Was there a big update to the core dou software ? This doesn't happen on all CD's. Can't figure out why...any help would be appreciated.

is it checking the internet database? or perhaps a better question, are u connected to the internet when you've been trying to rip the CDs? if not then iTunes can't check the specs of the CD against the online database.

Yes triadone....I am connected to the net when ripping,does the Istore need to be open cause it usually isn't,although i have had it open but made no differece.
