Nibtor is a really nice little app, along with Nvflash 5.13, your good to go, I did notive that vid setting number on the GTX is already maxed out, if i remember it's vid7 i think. so i think it's limiteed to that. I want to see, the post where someone set his card to 1.38v and got a 700\770 stable clock. 1.38v sounds like your bbq your card, but if it could keep temps reasnoable, i maybe game, I would love to run 650\800 Like dektop, i dont see it happening but, would be nice.

BBQ the 7900GTX?? I don't really think so. BTW, what is the vcore setting on desktop 7900GTX???
I wouldnt compare a desktop gtx with a go gtx, just the cooling alone, A desktop has much better cooling than a laptop and the cooling heatsink on the desktop provides way better cooking than the dual piped go card. I just Flashed my GTX to 640\740 I'm going to run tests on it tomorrow and see how the temps do, and compare perormance & scores to my 625\725 clocks to see the difference. Oh and the desktop version is 1.8v to 2.0v (depending on vendor) which as you see is way higher than the laptop version. I tried volt modding my GTX, i got up to 1.31 and didnt make any difference, I cant get my gtx's core past 640MHz, but i had the memory up to 770MHz I didnt play around with it to much, at 770 games would play fine, but sometimes my screen would turn a colorish black while playing a game, I would hit alt esc to go back to desktop and hit the exe in the taskbar to bring the game back up and the game would run fine again, but it was getting annoying, so I lowered the memory down a bit and havent had that problem again.

Do you have a link to anywhere that sells these?
Part number for the fan?

I think calstar is full of you-know-what. He says that his friend works in a factory of some sort that has these fans, and they are "not for sale".....

If he posts a pic of the mod with upgraded fan and all, then I will believe him (and give him an apology for doubting him).

Until then, bullsh*t!

HEY GUYS!!!! I WENT AND BOUGHT A THERMALTAKE WATERCOOLING HEATSINK AND SLAPPED IT TO MY GTX THEN I GRABBED MY GARDEN HOSE AND TURNED THE WATER ON FROM THE PICKET AND I HAVE ALL THAT COOL WATER CIRULATING OVER THE GPU AND I HAVE MY CLOCKS RUNNING AT 1000MHZ CORE 2500MHZ MEMORY, ITS'S SO AWSOME! I NOW GET 563,536 POINTS IN 3DMARK06, ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS MOVING THE LAPTOP FROM ROOM TO ROOM CAUSE OF THESE HUGE GREEN HOSES AND SOMETIMES ONE OF THEM GETS UNDONE AND SPLASHES WATER ALL OVER THE PLACE, BUT IT'S WORTH IT!!!!!!! I HAVE HAD ONLY TO REPLACE THE LAPTOP 6 TIMES DUE TO WATER DAMAGE I'm sorry I'm just kidding and bustin balls, lol! Just having fun, but if these fans excist why dont you post where to get them to help everyone here, after all thats what this place is about is all of us helping eachother out, Hell do you know how many people have sent me private messages on helping o\c there cards, and i have sold people on here bunch of dell parts for cheaper than i sell it on ebay or my store, to help people out. Batteries for $90 7900GS for $229, i think im pretty good about helping others on here, but i donr bs anyone!

If I tell you that I make $18k per month, you might think is full fo shit too..

Back then when ppl first start ocing, others think full fo shit, but then....

I am just here to share info, not to show off or trying to make profit. I don't need to prove to anyone what I have done to my lappy. I did not even post a new thread about this because I think it wasn't worth of time to do the job. A lappy cooler can simplly done the job right. I did it becasue I am return the old M170 back to Dell so I can have a little fun for myslef. WTF do you have the right to judge me?

Once ppl believe the world is flat, and we know we can't blame them because ..... got the picture?

Hey bro i ment no disrespect, i was just foolin with ya sorry if i may of offended you, The only point i was trying to get across is if you are going to share some info for all of us to be able to get parts to better our system then let us know where to get them aswell. Hey how to you take a screenshot pic? I want to post the a pic of my desktop with it showing my nvidia properties and the 3dmark results in the background i tried using fraps but that dosent work, so what app is ued to do that? also how do you link it the reply so everyone can see it. I broken a new record last night i got my 7900GTX running at 640\740 and so far seems to be running good, it wasent a huge gain from 625\725 but every little bit counts. I'm still going to do testing on the temps i want to see how much higher they max out, but anyways some let me know how to take desktop screenshots, thanx!

So, my first attempt at running a benchmark on my M1710. I bumped the clocks up to 600/700, which is reasonable. I guess 9411 is the best I'm going to get tonight. It's late and work comes early. Here are the mandatory screenshots of my two runs...

I am using an appt call HyperSnap. It can captures almost everything you wanted in windows. It is an old appt I got 5 years ago and it works really good.
I'll try downloading HyperSnap, is there any other apps that work good for screenshiots, i had ssmon which logs everything your computer does but i took it off because it uses a type of trojan. Something strang happened today. I have loaded a profram called VLC360, its so i can watch Divx & vxid on my Xbox360 from my laptop using media edition link up, thing is it must take a crap load of resources because my score dropped a bit, I took off extreme 91.31-2.40a drivers because it was conflicting with it, mostly 3dmarks scores were dropping and 3dmark would stop resonding half way thru the benchmark, so i downloaded Stock forceware from Nvidia's site v 84.63 and everything is much more stable and only dropped 20+\- points on 3dmarks but gameplay is even better than before, also reoverclocked to 625\740 and working great, i tried 750 on the memory, and it does work fine, but i get this weird black fullscreen color mesh, i have to alt=ESC to minimaze the game a nd bring it back up but everytime a game auto saves it does it again, it got really a pain so i went to 740mhz and runs perfect, I had the core at 640 with the old drivers and it acted a little wierd too, but with these new drivers i may try 640 on the core again, otherwise this lappy is running mint, I sold a bunch of parts over the weeked 2gb ocz platinum ddr400, ati x1800xt, a mobo, and many other desktop parts, the only thing left i have to sell is a brand new AMD Athlon 64x2 4400+ new in box (if anyone wants to buy it) and im picking up a T7400 or T7600 for this laptop, and i am done with buying stuff for this thing. Well i'll post some screenshots later on... Peace!

OK, ran two more 3DMark05 tests, and it looks like I'm not going to break any records. It seems that 9514 is my limit for now. Maybe I'll try more in the future, but I'm pretty satisfied.

OK, just when I thought it was safe to go back in the water...I was mad about the TweaksRUs driver causing an error at shutdown and the fact that my LCD was not turning off when I closed the lid. I went to safe mode, uninstalled the latest TweaksRUs driver, rebooted, and installed the latest Dell driver. Just for shits and giggles, I ran 3DMark05 again with no changes at all. My score jumped 42 points from 9514 to 9556...I am happy. Now, it's time to play games. Have fun guys.

OK, last test, I promise. Looks like 9590 is the highest I am going to get at 625/725. Temps are right at 50 degrees C and all games, including B&W2 look awesome at 1920x1200. I am one happy camper!

Put your scores in the correct format if you want them posted.
