Hello, i was wondering if people have had experience with any of these mice or comparisons and if there are any new rumors on new gaming mice that are coming.

These are just a few of course, i dont know how many there are out there. But can someone please give me some input and possible some suggestions so the decision would be easier.

Thanks in advance.

yeah that's the same as the G5 but wireless, i considered that. but now i read that the Saitek GM3200 is coming out in September and for $50 and has better performance than all the ones i listed so i am probably gonna wait and see what will happen.

Razer Copperhead is amazing. I hate the logitechs shape, and the fact that the G5/G7 only have the 1 side button. If you are going to use it primarily for gaming, go with the Copperhead or G5 depending on if you want 2 side buttons or what shape you like better.

look in there I know there have been a ton of gaming mouse threads.

I have razer diamondback and it's awesome! My friend has Logitech G5, it's heavier and bigger and more clumsy in my opinion.. Copperhead is pretty much the same as diamondback but better, if i've understood correctly. So I'd advise you to get one of razer's mice.. You won't regret it. Don't go for Logitech g5 / g7.

Also, it might take some getting used to. I've been using Razer since the Boomslang, and have had a Viper, Diamondback, and Copperhead. After I got my Copperhead Dukefrukem got one and he hated for a week or two (mostly just cause I said it was the best mouse available), but then he got used to it and he loves it. 5/6 of the strafeRight css team uses a Razer, and the 6th might be getting one since he broke his G5.

Logitech's gaming mouse works well, but as someone else mentioned, its shape is a bit awkward. I found that if my thumb was as long as my middle finger, it would have fit my hand better.

The G5 looks, feels, and is as heavy as a brick...Get a razor diamondback. Its light enough and responsive enough that I can do a full 180 in a split second to take out a guy behind me in CS.

A friend of mine has the razer, when i've used it I've found it overly sensitive, and awkward to hold. The shape has no ergonomic definition, with the overhanging edges tedious when gripping. The cost is high aswell for a "mouse"

I like the pulsing light though, makes it appear as if its alive.

My choice would be the microsoft mouse, always liked their shape and quality. I've never seen the advantage in wireless mouses, unless you were doing a presentation or something but thats completely different, their heavier, bulkier and more expensive to buy and run.

I myself have a logitech MX518. It's pretty good for the price (like 50 bucks) and is only just behind the hardcore gaming ones out there. It has 1600dpi as opposed to the laser 2000dpi but it's still good. It's ergonomically shaped too so that's a plus. I must admit with the Razors although they look cool don't they just feel like a cheap mouse? It's an honest question.

The Copperheads don't feel cheap at all. They feel solidly made. I wouldn't say the Diamondback felt cheap, but the Copperhead is a big improvement.

mmm not what I mean really... like cause they're not ergonomic or anything if you weren't looking at them or seeing their performance doesn't it just feel like a normal mouse (cheap was possibly the wrong word). Like by the looks of them they look like they'd feel just like my 20buck older logitech one that was basicallt a 3d oval cut in half. Just wondering...

MX518 had two side buttons and plenty of DPI (adjustable on the fly)for gaming. If you don't mind the cord.
I have a logitech LX7 that also has two smaller buttons by the 3-way scroll wheel. The buttons are harder to use for gaming though. So far the batteries in it have lasted a LONG time. Just finished GRAW with it last night.

Not really. It's much better than the 3 mice I have here at work - an old logitech and 2 hp. The way I hold the mouse when gaming just fits perfectly with the copperhead. It feels much better than the G5 for me, I can't stand the way they are shaped.

I suppose it's a bit each to their own. Seeing as how they are priced pretty similar it is really just a "how does this feel" thing. One thing I HATE about the G5s is their weights, I mean wtf? what a useless feature, Logitech should've done a quick survey of all it's mouse owners and got the average best weight and made it iwth that. Weights were useless. Other than that it's not too bad.

Weights are useless. Even with no weights it's still too heavy.
Really? The weights on the G5 are what I love about that mouse.

I went from an MX510 to a G5, and I'm loving the G5. I'm a die-hard Logitech fanboy... all of my 3 Microsoft Intellimouses have crapped out on me after 8-12 months, and not a single one of my many Logitech mice have ever failed.

Another component you should consider, if you're considering gaming input devices, is your keyboard. I recently switched from a Dell USB keyboard to a Deck Legend keyboard, and it ROCKS. There is such a noticable difference in the key feel and travel motion between membrane-based keyboards and switch-based keyboards. Got a big Deck?
